MGC is equipped and experienced to provide General Management services for theatrical productions in the UK: in the West End, in smaller London venues, and on tour.
With extensive experience in producing, MGC is in a unique position to advise and consult on creative decisions, including suggestions for key creative team appointments, casting and other artistic decisions.
BUDGETING AND FINANCIAL
Prepare production, operating and recoupment tables; oversee preparation of accounts, weekly P&L statements and forecasts; financial reporting including taxes, etc; administration of the production payroll.
Negotiate and/or advise on deals and issue contracts for creative team, including author, composer, lyricist, director, designer, casting director and actors.
Advise on the appointment of key staff positions, including technical manager, accounting firm, heads of departments, production crew and music staff.
PRESS AND MARKETING
Advise on options for press and marketing representatives; work closely with producers to plan and supervise campaigns.
Advise on pricing strategy, including premium tickets and dynamic pricing; oversee and report on sales and patterns.
Work with technical supervisor to oversee the production calendar, planning of design process and the bidding of all production elements.
GENERAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE
Supervise running and maintenance of the production including: immigration, insurance, union relationships, merchandising and investor relationships as appropriate.
Manage and plan readings, workshops and other developmental processes.
Manage UK and international tours and transfers, including booking, venue management and production.
