Marcelo Dos Santos has been honoured with the 2024 Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright for Backstairs Billy. Speaking at the awards ceremony, Marcelo thanked Michael Grandage and Nick Frankfort for commissioning and producing the play and "the amazing cast and crew who brought it to life".
